When I bottled Port Of Call in July of 22\, I immediately filled that barrel and another rye bourbon barrel\, too. Yesterday\, I blended those two barrels back into one batch. 2 years old already. Why blended? Well\, the idea is that the flavor should be more rounded with the OG Port Of Call barrel offering softer wooden tones and the fresh rye bourbon barrel offering that sharp bourbon infused goodness.”

DESCRIPTION:Come have a drink at Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC)! \nThe 3rd annual fundraiser\, “History on Tap” is a fun and casual evening of beverage tastings\, delicious food\, and live programming! \nUnlimited samples of some of the best locally made alcoholic drinks the state has to offer.  Joining Bergen House are Litchfield Distillery (Litchfield)\, Nod Hill Brewery (Ridgefield)\, Counter Weight Brewing Co. (Cheshire). Pair tastings with delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and sides from local food truck Melt Mobile. \nThe evening will also feature exclusive live discussions: KTM&HC Museum Associate Ish Gupta will explore the historical intersections of taverns and music in the 18th and 19th centuries; and KTM&HC Chief Curator Catherine Prescott and historian Mary Tsaltas-Ottomanelli\, hosts of the popular Taproom Tastings virtual series\, will chat about historic tavern drink trends and lead a historical drink-making demonstration. \nGuests will also have special access to our exhibit #HandsOnHistory: Threading the Needle\, which brings historic textile-making practices to life through activities that encourage visitors to “Please Touch!” \nAll proceeds benefit KTM&HC’s mission-driven work. SUMMARY:HGAA Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:A fundraiser for the Hartford GAA\, which competes in Men’s Gaelic Football\, Men’s Hurling\, Ladies Gaelic Football\, and has Youth football and hurling for ages 5-17. \nPlease join us September 28th at the Irish American Home Society for our first ever beer tasting. Entrance to the event will be $50. A designated driver ticket will be $10. Ticket includes a HGAA beer tasting glass and unlimited samples from local breweries\, wineries\, cideries\, meaderies\, and distilleries. If you attended the HGAAGolf Tournament on September 7th\, you can bring your HGAA glass and receive a $10 reimbursement. A food truck will be on-site throughout the event. The Acoustic Fever Trio will be playing live music from 2-5pm. This event is for ages 21 and over and ID’s will be checked at the door!
