Every month, Bergen House features a different local artist and their wall hangings.
Meet each month’s featured artist on “Opening Night” – the 1st Thursay of the month.
Unless noted, all artwork is for sale! Come and support our very talented local artists!
–> Our current artists are: Jenavieve Hawks
and Dave TenEyck
Jenavieve Hawks is a local artist, and multidisciplinary creative whose work captures the serene beauty of nature through vibrant color and fluid movement. Specializing in watercolor and acrylic, she creates landscapes that evoke a sense of peace and wonder. Her unique watercolor technique, which mimics the delicate precision of pencil while using only a brush, lends her work a distinctive softness and depth. In addition to landscapes, Jenavieve explores abstraction in acrylic, using color and form to express energy and emotion.
Jenavieve has taught paint workshops across New England, sharing her passion for art with students of all levels. She has illustrated and designed artwork for various medical books and upcoming children’s books. Recognized for her talents, she has received numerous national and local awards for her artistic works. Coming from a long generational line of artists, she continues this tradition by inspiring future generations to embrace the joy of creativity.
Beyond painting, Jenavieve is also a musician and iridologist, integrating art, wellness, and self-expression into all aspects of her work.
Dave TenEyck is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and local artist and art instructor. A good friend of Bergen House, Dave has hosted a nubmer of “paint & sip” events here.

Information for Artists…
Contact Us to reserve your month.
We have 1 accent wall that’s outfitted with a professional hanging system so that we have complete freedom vertically and horizontally. Featured artists get the whole wall for the month, and may hang as many items as they would like. Pornographic art is not allowed (we are a family friendly environment) though tasteful nudity is acceptable (we’re not prudes).
The 1st Thursday of the month is your “opening night reception” and we will announce it on our website and social media. Artists are also encouraged to promote the event through friends, family, social mediate, etc. Many artists enjoy interacting with guests and introducing their work that night, and some even bring snacks to attract more attention. the “opening night reception” can be as grand or low key as you want it to be, though we have seen that artists who bring larger crowds generally sell multiple pieces that first night.
At the end of the month, we are happy to retain 2-5 pieces of your work to continue to offer them for sale.
We ask for a 10% commission on your sales, 100% of which goes back into our art program (buying new hanging equipment, paint the walls, etc.).
