Custom Mead
Would you like some mead made from a particular honey? Are you interested in certain spices, fruits, or other flavors in yor mead? We love making bespoke meads!
Let’s customize a mead together! Here’s how it works:
- Meet with our head meadmaker to choose the honey and any added flavors
- Read our regular email updates during the several weeks of the fermentation and finalization process
- Receive your mead – which by now will probably be in the range of 4-7% ABV (alcohol by volume) depending what you decided with the meadmaker
- Serve and enjoy
A one-of-a-kind beverage, starting at just $400 for 5 gallons, is a perfect addition to any special event – particularly weddings, birthdays, anniversies… you get the idea. Contact us to start the process today.
Custom Barrel-Aged Mead
Create your very own barrel-aged mead to create higher ABV treat. Here’s how it works:
- Meet with our head meadmaker to choose the honey, added flavors (if any), and the cask
- Read our regular email updates from us during the fermentation process
- Sample your mead when it’s done fermenting and ready to go into the barrel
- Read our monthly email updates while your mead ages 10-14 months in our temperature controlled environment
- Sample your mead when it’s done aging and we begin bottling
- Receive your bottles – which by now will probably be in the range of 12-15% ABV (alcohol by volume) depending what you decided with the meadmaker
- Serve and enjoy
For just $5,000, you will receive ~47 cases of your one-of-a-kind beverage. We encourage you to share with friends – both the cost and the mead itself! Contact us to start the process today.

From July 1, 2023, to June 30, you will enjoy 10% off all mead offerings (on tap, 4 packs, bottles to-go, and barrel-aged releases). You will also be invited to private events throughout the year and receive 10% off all merchandise. And of course, mead club members have guaranteed rights for limited-run meads. And, new this year: special member-only glassware for sipping your mead in the taproom!

August BBQ: Sunday, August 7, 2023 6:30-9pm
Available to Mead Club Members and their “plus 1” only (see below). This annual private event, after our normal closing time on a Sunday, pairs our mead with some deliciuos BBQ (some of which is prepared right on site). Purchase tickets here.
Holiday Luau: Saturday, December 16, 2023 6-10pm
- Luau BBQ catered by The Portly Pig in Hartford
- Tropical jello shots available all night
- Flip cup tournament at 7pm
- “White elephant” gift exchange at 8pm ($20 gift limit, please)
