January's artist is “Nora from Moodus”, and you can come meet her on opening night.  Here's how the artist describes herself:

“Nora from Moodus”began as a way to share original photo images in the form of wall decor and notecards.
To make a long story short, I discovered that after years of sitting behind a desk, it is possible to find new ways to grow, enjoy each day, and be a part of the larger community. My mentors and friends at the East Haddam Art League and the East Haddam Museum have enriched my life immensely and it is a tribute to their encouragement that I can present my work at Bergen House.
I am a Connecticut native, Army veteran, and graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University. My family roots are traced back to pre-revolutionary times and that is why I remain here in Moodus, Connecticut.
My hope is that Connecticut will continue to attract visitors and promote local businesses. Thank you for your support and interest in my photo images!

Fredrick Backman  backmansk is absolutely one of our favorite authors. We're excited to share his work.
Britt-Marrie is one of those people you love to hate until you just love. She goes on a journey, and Backman brings a caricature to life, letting you feel her pain and enjoy her self awaking. A beautiful story leaving us better off for joining her for the journey.
