A ruck march is when you take a walk with a backpack full of stuff. This is a ruck march for a cause. And it will be a lot of fun too.
Join Talon Bergen, veteran and owner of Bergen House, in a Veterans Day craft beverage ruck march.
We will start in the Bergen House parking lot and ruck over the bridge to Concentric, ruck marchers will have the opportunity to raise a glass and then we will head back over the bridge to Stubbon Beauty and Forest City Brewing companies (they're in the same building.) Ruck marchers will have the opportunity to visit both breweries before heading out back to Bergen House where we will finish our ruck in time for one more round.
Total distance: just under 4 miles.
Packing list: none - you carry the weight you want to carry. (please bring water!)
The suggested donation is $10 (of course we will accept larger donations) all of the money raised will be given to Fisher House which is an awesome charity that provides housing to veterans and their families when they need housing near rehab facilities and hospitals so that the veterans can receive the medical care they need.
This is four rounds. Please consider how you will be getting home or plan on hanging out for a while. Have fun AND drink responsibly.

The night before Thanksgiving tends to be a drinking night. We want to do some cocktails to celebrate the holiday. Makes the next day with family easier .
We will have 4 or 5 traditional cocktails for the un-adventurous and 4 or 5 featured mead cocktails where we just play and have fun. Last call is at 9 pm, so if you want to get sloppy, you can head someplace else after
ALSO, we will have special pricing for your Thanksgiving needs: $1 off all to-go bottles ($2 off 4-packs for cans). 10% additional off for a full case plus 10% additional discount for club members. Listen, I (Talon) don't like discounts... but I love Thanksgiving, and I want you to share our mead at your Thanksgiving dinner.

For the 39th Annual Holiday on Main Street's "Magic of Middletown" we'll have your mulled mead hook up for the tree lighting.  Remember, mulled mead is a hot beverage with alcohol, so, yes, it's perfect for the tree lighting at 8pm in front of Eli Cannon's "where Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by fire engine to light the tree. Elves will be on the sidewalk with Popcorn, Cookies, Hot Chocolate and goodies for the kids, and The Middletown Police Benefit Association Pipe & Drum Corps will be playing to welcome the arrival of Santa! Don’t forget to bring an unwrapped toy for the Police Department’s Stuff-A-Cruiser fundraiser!"
